Ironically, this was the same person who endlessly drew parallels between society and the dystopian film They Live—a prescient metaphor for hidden manipulations. Yet when I uncovered an overlooked infiltration in television programming—the sub-audible signals subtly influencing the human nervous system—he couldn't see beyond the surface.
