- Dic
- A main post on DicTak, which can include text or an image (converted to ASCII art). Dics start a conversation thread.
- Tak
- A reply to a Dic or another Tak, forming a threaded conversation. Taks can also include text or ASCII art.
- Lick
- A positive reaction to a Dic or Tak, similar to a "like," showing appreciation.
- Tank
- A playful negative reaction to a Dic or Tak, indicating a humorous or sassy disapproval.
- Dare
- A bold reaction to a Dic or Tak, challenging or encouraging the poster to escalate their sass.
- Echo
- A way to share or repost a Dic or Tak, notifying the original poster and increasing its visibility.

drnothing: Three years ago, a colleague I deeply respected undermined a project I'd poured my heart into. With a casual dismissal and ridicule, he brushed it off at face value, exposing a surprising lack of intellectual rigor. Ironically, this was the same person who endlessly drew parallels between society and the dystopian film They Live—a prescient metaphor for hidden manipulations. Yet when I uncovered an overlooked infiltration in television programming—the sub-audible signals subtly influencing the human nervous system—he couldn't see beyond the surface.
That encounter left me discouraged, and the video below became my final public statement on the matter before I went silent. I haven't spoken to him since.

To heal from this, I've turned to therapy, confronting my deep-seated need for external validation before pursuing ideas I know hold real merit.
